South Cherryvale Road, Bear Peak #4

The studio is still frigid so I took advantage of the bright day and opted for doing a second session on the Bear Peak painting that I meant to do earlier in the week. This is the fourth painting of this mountain from this particular vantage. Painted for an hour or so from the car. Stopped at the store to buy a new brush but didn't see anything I liked. My current brush stock is hurting - losing bristles, getting kinda ratty. These work for a bit but the novelty of uneven marks wears off quickly and I'm longing for something I can control.

Scoped out the view from Davidson Mesa Open Space parking lot, which is actually quite nice for painting but unfortunately very busy as there is a dog run right next to the parking lot. I'm way too self conscious to paint with people constantly walking past.
