RMNP... Day After Trump

Ugh. I took the escapist route and drove to Bear Lake. I made four mediocre to bad watercolors, wandering the forest. The weather does not get better - 60 degrees, hint of breeze, not a cloud for days. This is saying something for 8,000' in November. Or anytime really. The light was sharp and clear, like crystal, everything brilliantly defined down to the molecule. I wish I could have enjoyed this place on its own terms today. Not try to capture anything, or make anything. But I couldn't. I needed to work. Which will be my (our) mandate, to work, every day, to improve.
