Today was my last day to drive the girls to a regular school day. Rather than spend two hours driving back and forth from my house, I dropping them off and went to Evergreen with the warercolor kit. However, I somehow forgot my sketchbook and ended up making (6? 7?) 8 x 10 inch studies of rocks and such around Alderfer. My motivation/energy felt low overall but I went through the motions and tried to make something happen. Last night's mezcal drink followed later by a sour ale certainly weren't positive contributions.
I've said it before but I'm really ready to shift gears into the bigger work at this point. But nevertheless thankful to have a full day out in the sun, making work among the rocks and trees.
