March 2016 Summary
Sort of a transitional month. Most of the time was spent sanding and priming 16 new canvases in the studio. Also had K's mom here for a visit, and took seven days visiting my parents in Florida. After that there were a few days left on H's spring break to finish off the month.
Drawings (watercolor in books)
My Struggle: Book Four by Karl Ove Knausgaard, translated by Don Bartlett, 2015
It was a struggle to get through it, just couldn't get in a groove. This was a great one though.
Half-Earth: Our Planet's Fight for Life by Edward O. Wilson, 2015
Required reading! I bought the first two books of this "trilogy" and this is the best one.
A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains, An Annotated Text by Isabella Lucy Bird, edited by Ernest S. Bernard, 1999
Saw this at the library randomly and immediately grabbed it. A local school is named after Bird and she climbed Longs in the 1870s!
