Bear Peak Day One
Spent about 75 minutes on a half-sheet (22 x 30") watercolor of Bear Peak from South Cherryvale Road this morning, day one of a two-session painting. Some relief in the two-day panting, I don't have to get it all right in one go. This is something I've wanted to do since making a "summer" version of the same view last year. Being winter and snow-covered, this version has a more limited palette and feels a touch sharper. It's nice and frosty out there. Cherryvale Road has a fair amount of traffic (lots of trucks, runners, cyclists) so I stayed in the car and painted from the driver's seat. Back tomorrow!
