Despite an annoying head cold I decided to take advantage of today's unseasonably warm weather and made two watercolors from the Lookout Mountain Road and a third from North Table Mountain parking lot, all before noon. Total painting time, maybe 90 minutes. These watercolors are starting to feel pretty sketchy to me lately, not enough to really hold my attention. Maybe that's the reason using them in an artist book feels so right--they only hold your attention for the time it takes to flip a page. They are basically starting to feel like exercises. Which is a good thing, an evolutionary step. So, then, what am I working toward?
