Whatever Moves or Makes Noise is a photo book of the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, made with support from the National Science Foundation Antarctic Artists & Writers Program.

The Dry Valleys region is the southernmost terrestrial environment on Earth. It is also considered the closest Earth landscape to Mars. Whatever Moves or Makes Noise explores this unusual place in images captured during the first-ever extended research season in the Dry Valleys, while the 24-hour day rapidly transitioned to polar night.
